About Dr. M. M. B. Sharma

Early Life & Education

Born in Kanyakumari, India, where the three oceans meet, Dr. M. M. B. Sharma developed an early fascination with merging and integrating multidisciplinary fields, a mindset that continues to define his approach to research and innovation. He was brought up in Ernakulam, Kerala, also known as “God’s Own Country”, where his academic journey began.

In 9th grade, he cleared an all-India exam to join Sainik School, an elite Indian defense school known for its rigorous academic and leadership training. This experience instilled in him the ability to analyze problems, think critically, and develop quick solutions independently.

He later completed an Integrated MSc in Physics at Central University of Tamil Nadu under Prof. Madhurima, specializing in Condensed Matter Physics. His final year project, Feasibility Studies of Nanoparticle Based Microwave Diathermy in Tissue Phantoms, was a self-designed and independently executed research project, demonstrating his early passion for innovation and problem solving.

PhD & Research Journey

In 2016, Dr. Sharma applied for a PhD position at Lancaster University under Prof. John Hardy. Securing a fully funded PhD was a challenge, but after three years of relentless effort, he was awarded the prestigious Indian Government Scholarship. This struggle taught him resilience, patience, and the importance of staying focused despite challenges.

During his PhD, his research focused on bioengineering and AI-driven biomedical technologies. He successfully published two research papers on bioengineering and global challenges, with two more currently under review. His research contributions have the potential to shape future healthcare technologies and biomedical advancements.

Commitment to Student Empowerment

Recognizing the financial struggles many Indian students face when applying abroad, Dr. Sharma decided to take action. He launched a free student support initiative, helping students from rural and underprivileged backgrounds secure fully funded scholarships at top universities worldwide.

Despite his own challenges, including a 24-month scholarship suspension during COVID, he worked part-time to support both himself and students in their higher education journey. For the past one and a half years, he has successfully run this free student empowerment service alone, ensuring that financial barriers do not stop talented students from achieving their academic dreams.

International Recognition & AI in Biomedical Technologies

Dr. Sharma’s work has taken him to international conferences in the UK and Las Vegas, where he has networked with leading researchers and industry professionals in biomedical technology. Inspired by these interactions, he incorporated AI-based biomedical innovations into his PhD research, successfully implementing a groundbreaking AI biomedical technology within just 10 months.

Beyond Science: Creative Vision & Innovation

Dr. Sharma is not only a scientist but also a music director and film director, working on cinematic storytelling and futuristic concepts since 2009. One of his biggest dreams is to direct a science fiction movie that blends cutting-edge technology with storytelling, introducing new forms of technological music to the world.

He believes that scientific innovation and cinematic vision are deeply interconnected, and while his dream of bringing these ideas to the big screen is still in progress, he is currently realizing them through groundbreaking research and professional innovation. Every night before he sleeps, he dedicates time to his creative vision, believing that one day it will come to life.

A Vision for the Future

Dr. M. M. B. Sharma continues to push the boundaries of biomedical research, AI-driven healthcare solutions, and education empowerment. His goal is to bridge the gap between research and real-world impact, ensuring that scientific advancements benefit both industries and society.
